One day I stumbled,
And lost my way, Desperately I searched, For the light of day. My thoughts grew foggy, As if in a cloud, I was trapped in the dark, And wrapped in a shroud. I hung my head, In fear and shame, Embarrassed to have fallen, Into such an evil game. But then I looked up, And I saw a lone star, It was a beacon of hope, Shining down from afar. I stretched forth my hands, As I cried out in prayer, Save me O Lord, From my own nightmare! Then suddenly I stood, In the broad daylight, My mind was cleared, I was freed from the night! I dropped down on my knees, Giving God all the praise, Never again to lose faith, In His wondrous ways. |
