What I Become
Copyright © 2000 by Gregory B. Banks

Often I wonder about my life,
And what I’ll become one day,
I yearn for a glimpse into my future’s path,
So all my fears I can allay.

Whatever I become in the years to come,
I pray that I’ll look on it with pride,
For life has no meaning if you have no goals,
I need to make a difference, to turn the tide.

Though the challenges I face in years to come,
Won’t decide who I grow to be,
But the choices I make as I face each one,
Will lead to my discovering Me.

Whatever I become in the years ahead,
And whatever the life that I lead,
I’m determined to survive and grow each day,
And in reaching my goals I’ll succeed.
