The Storm

The air grows moist and heavy,
The sky turns dark and gray,
The blustery wind grows angry,
And the trees begin to sway.

Great bolts of fiery lightning,
Start to streak through the air,
Warning all of God’s creatures,
That they had better beware.

Thunder rolls throughout the land,
With a deafening, booming roar,
Then suddenly the sky opens up,
And the rain begins to pour.

The rain washes over all the land,
Cleansing the pollutants from the air,
It washes away all dirt and grime,
It’s God’s Tender Loving Care.

Then as suddenly as the storm began,
It ends and the Sun comes back,
A rainbow forms, signaling to all below,
That everything’s back on track!

The crystal clear sky turns deep blue,
And now life can return to the norm,
All can enjoy the outdoors again,
That is, until the next Storm!
